Clinisys Associates was founded, almost twenty-five years ago, by a doctor who was leasing time and space on the weekends from a local laboratory facility in order to provide a limited range of hemostasis products. From those humble beginnings, that company has grown into a full-time operation employing a trained staff of specialists, housed in a purpose-built laboratory and research facility in Atlanta, Georgia. As the staff and facilities have grown, Clinisys has expanded its product range to include a diverse array of hemostasis products, as well as becoming involved in FDA 510K studies, Beta testing, and biomedical product design.
Clinisys Associates has continued to look towards the future and prepare to meet the needs of our clients in the biomedical supply community. Clinisys Associates, Ltd. is a biomaterials repository which collects and processes both whole blood and plasma from a variety of sources, analyzing and cataloguing these samples for subsequent sale to biomaterial testing manufacturers. We maintain a large quantity of pre-tested samples covering a wide range of abnormal intrinsic and extrinsic coagulation defects, as well as various disease states. Clinisys Associates was founded nearly 25 years ago with the statement, “Our mission is to provide the finest in rare blood products and components with exceptional service and value.” Since then, the business has grown from a one-person operation to one employing over 10 people, including physicians, PhDs, bioengineers and medical technologists.
In 2000, we expanded from a shared laboratory to our first private laboratory space on Cheshire Bridge Road in Atlanta, Georgia. Then, in 2009 we exceed the capacity of that facility, and so we designed and built a new, custom laboratory facility for our company on Lambert Driver. This allowed us to increase the size and range of our sample collection, while providing better facilities infrastructure to support our operation.
Our location in Atlanta provides us access to one of FedEx’s major hubs and allows us to rapidly ship samples on dry ice around the world. In addition, Atlanta is easily accessible to our international customers, as our offices are located only twenty minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport by train or car.
